This beautiful wedding took place at the Middleton Family Bed and Breakfast in downtown Charleston,  which was a new venue for me… and what a gorgeous one! I love discovering new wedding venues and this little gem is tucked away right off of Church Street in the heart of historic downtown. It carries you back to another time and place, and was the perfect setting for Briah and Abe’s wedding ceremony.

Jessica and Kevin are visiting Folly Beach for their honeymoon, and I met up with them and their furry four-footed “children” to capture a few pictures at the Fishing Pier on what was one of the windiest days of the year! I’m so happy for them as they begin their new life together… such a beautiful little family!

I enjoyed meeting this lovely couple at our Folly Beach portrait session this morning… they are vacationing here in Charleston for the week, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! Early mornings are one of my favorite times at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, and this morning was no exception. Lichtenauer Family

This family of three generations rented a beach house on Folly for the week, and I met with them at White Point Gardens to capture some family portraits—loved witnessing the fun interaction between them all!

These two were just married a week ago, so are on a sort of 2^nd mini honeymoon… with all the family along, of course!

This couple is expecting a new arrival in the next several weeks, which makes for two very excited “big” brothers!

the Twins are Here!

I did a maternity session with a lovely Mama-to-Be a little over a month ago, and have been eagerly awaiting news of Trace and Sloan’s arrival…

And finally, they’re here!

Our session last Saturday was the highlight of my week – such a privilege to meet these two little ones so soon after their arrival into our world! Weighing just over 5 lbs at birth, they are tiny, tiny, tiny! They have the cutest little baby toes ever, and they were so patient with being moved and prodded into all sorts of positions (for the most part…!!)

 They are absolutely perfect, and I am so happy for their parents! Life with these two is going to be a beautiful adventure, and I will look forward to documenting their growth in the coming years.

Congrats, Graduate!

Seniors are tremendous fun to work with. They’re excited to be there, at a wonderfully optimistic and free point in life, and willing to do or try anything! McKenzie and her family were in town celebrating the 4^th of July weekend, and, as she loves Charleston and is considering attending the College of Charleston, she decided she wanted her senior portraits done here. She is beautiful, talented, and has a bright future ahead of her… particularly if she decides to move to Charleston! (ok, I might be a little biased about my city… 🙂 )

an Independence Day Wedding

Anne and Rick had a 4^th-of July wedding on the Charleston Schooner Pride, and what a fun way to spend the evening! We were out in the harbor at dusk and were surrounded by a ring of fireworks being set off in all the various areas of Charleston… it made for a magical wedding!
